I know I haven’t updated in awhile I just been waiting and waiting in the most relax way possible.
Let me give you my latest update on what’s been going on. I had my Intralipid Therapy on December 5th and it was awful; not the whole treatment the actual experience. My appointment was at 1 pm that I wasn’t very pleased about. Since I would have to miss most day of work. It wasn’t such a big deal; nevertheless, it’s my own principle. I figured perhaps I could leave work a bit earlier so I could come back sooner. With the crazy traffic I end up arriving only 15 minutes before, which really is on time.
As I am in the room the nurse arrives, being kind as always. Goes to me do you have your Intralipid Therapy? I was extremely puzzled and ask. What? Don’t you have it? She answers. No, you should have received a prescription for it. Prescription? I haven’t received anything. All of my prescriptions are delivered to my house and I’m 100% sure it was not in the bag. As she viewed my chart she noticed that the other nurse whom I saw a last week never placed the order. I was completely disappointed, angry, and frustrated. As we all know receiving prescriptions for fertility medicine isn’t like going to CVS or Walgreens. You need a special pharmacy or have it ordered by mail.
While waiting in the room for the nurse to determine what to do next I am getting more and more upset. As she returns she advised me that my pharmacy has the prescription in stock and I could stop by to pick it up. Thank god this pharmacy is only 5 minutes away from the doctors’ office. Once leaving the doctors, I am on the phone with my husband annoyed that beside me now wasting time, I have to now go and pick up this prescription I might as well already call out of work since it was 2 pm.
I return back to the doctor’s office with the prescription nevertheless extremely upset. The nurse offered me a 30% discount on the actual therapy, because the cost was $265 first hour and $150 any additional. She plugs me into the IV and of course I am having an issue. The tube, which was in my vein, was either attached wrong or whatever because the actually liquid was not to dripping. It took over an hour to finish.
After everything was completely I got my results my blood, which were good. Few days later I had an appointment to check on my lining. It was great, 8.7 a week before my transfer. Last time my lining was 8.1 and that was 3 days before my 2nd transfer. I am very happy with the results I am getting so far.
My transfer is officially scheduled on Tuesday, December 16. This Sunday is my last appointment for blood work to make sure everything is ok.
In regards to the medication that I am taking now, as of yesterday I am no longer on Lupron and I started progesterone. Those shots are a pain in my butt seriously!! Few hours later you feel it so bad that you can’t even sleep.
I think this time I will put the heating pad on first for few minutes then have my husband give me the shot because it’s the most uncomfortable feeling ever.
Tomorrow I start my medrol and azithromycin as well. That’s about it; everything else is in process.
