Doctor update!

Here is the update from my doctor appointment.

We will be running additional tests’, one for my husband and three for myself.

Both of us will be genetically tested and not the same as carrier, which was done prior to us TTC using IVF.

Second examination will be for my ovaries/cervix, to understand why it’s rejecting the embryo’s.

The final test is an experimental testing. Why experimental you may ask?

Both of my two cycles I had a low-grade fever and my RE said that’s something very unique, which he never heard of. Prior to us going to see him yesterday I did a little research and noticed people who are getting low-grade fever have NK cells.

‘Natural Killer cells’ (NK Cells) play an important role in the immune system responses to viral infections as well during implantation. Some women who have fertility problems, and specifically recurrent miscarriage or failed IVF, are more likely to have higher levels of activity of these NK cells than other women. What this means for treatment is still not clear, but a number of different treatments are being trailed.

He doesn’t believe it could be the issue, but since we are doing the other tests why not do it as well.

We will be skipping this cycle until our testing is all completed.

We will also try to do a “natural cycle” next IVF treatment vs. “programmed one”

What is the difference?

Programmed cycle is controlled with medicine more.

Natural Cycle is basically less medicine and it goes by your menstrual cycle, which means more visits to the doctor.
